On a trip to the older time of the Devil's Half Acre

Just back from a trip to resurrect some relatives that I have not seen in more than ages. Then maybe I should not have I think.
Among the conversations and travel we hit a place might be Symer (no idea) and then Witch Creek where they say there was a witch one time, not sure how she related unless she was burned there. Then near there in a cave where they say horses were hid during a war to keep them from being confiscated by the aggressors.
Then there is Slap Out, for real, they say had a grocery store there and sometimes they ran out of something, like sugar etc. When asked the store keeper would say we are slap out of it.
Among other interesting places is oh yes, Sweetwater Creek, there was a caravan of wagons going through it and the wagon with the sugar in it turned over, hence, Sweet Water.
Might have been a place called the Devil's 1/2 acre, where there could have been a land dispute which so often occurred back in the good old days and after the surveys were done, there was 1/2 acre left out, so they said "well just let the Devil have it!"
